An efficient tool for your Fleet Managers and Drivers – Vehicle Management at tips
BACKGROUND :
EMKAY, Inc., a leading service provider in the fleet industry, offers lease financing and fleet management services. It is committed to being the topmost service provider in the fleet industry. EMKAY wanted us to develop a mobile application for iPhone and BlackBerry to allow drivers to have their truck information, contact details, and maintenance vendor location within a specified radius. They also requested a Google Maps feature to highlight the path from a driver’s current location to EMKAY’s Vendor. According to EMKAY, this was the first part of their mobile venture, and they intended to provide more such applications to their clients in the future.
CHALLENGE :
EMKAY wanted to bring their fleet management business intelligence on one of the most reputed mobile platforms; iPhone and BlackBerry. To develop a feature-rich application for fleet management was a unique and innovative concept that needed extensive research and market survey. We needed to develop an application that would enable their fleet drivers to perform necessary fleet functions and view valuable information related to their vehicles. There was also a requirement to incorporate the Google Map feature that would highlight the current location of the truck and give directions to EMKAY’s maintenance vendors.
SOLUTIONS :
After an exhaustive market survey, we designed a fleet management application with user friendly capabilities that helps drivers and renters have all the needed information at their fingertips. The application also enables drivers to locate the nearest maintenance vendor quickly and gives directions to their destination. In addition, owning the application allows users to have basic vehicle information as well.
RESULTS :
We developed a comprehensive iPhone Application which covers all the necessary information and the ability to locate the nearest EMKAY maintenance vendor.
The application, with simple and user friendly interface, allows users to manage and track their vehicles/fleets.
We delivered an application that is compatible with the two most well known smart phones, iPhone and BlackBerry, which increases its usability.
